Privacy-First Architecture & Ad Disclosures

Privacy Policy

Last Updated: August 29, 2026 • Effective Immediately

At BabyAgeCalc.com ("we", "our", or "the Service"), we believe in uncompromising transparency. This Privacy Policy details our strict client-side data handling for your infant's information, as well as the standard data practices employed by our third-party display advertising partners (such as Google AdSense, Mediavine, and Setupad) to keep this service 100% free.

Our Core Pediatric Data Guarantee

We never collect, store, transmit, or share your baby's date of birth, gestational age, or calculation inputs with advertisers. All date mathematical operations, premature adjusted age calculations, and milestone schedules execute strictly inside your local web browser using client-side JavaScript. Advertisers and third-party networks never receive this information.

1. Information We Do NOT Collect

When you use the Baby Age Calculator tool, you may enter:

  • Your baby's Date of Birth (DOB)
  • Target calculation dates or future pediatrician appointment dates
  • Premature birth details (Gestational weeks at birth or original estimated due date)
  • Baby's first name or nickname (if entered in personal summaries)

None of these inputs are transmitted across the internet to our servers or to third-party ad networks. When you refresh or close your browser tab, your inputs are instantly purged from your browser's active memory.

2. Third-Party Display Advertising & Cookies

To maintain BabyAgeCalc.com as a free utility for parents worldwide, we partner with reputable third-party advertising networks and programmatic exchanges, including Google AdSense, Mediavine, and Setupad (collectively, "Advertising Partners").

These Advertising Partners may use cookies, web beacons, device identifiers, and similar tracking technologies to collect standard technical information when you visit our website, such as your IP address, browser type, device type, geographic location, and interaction with display advertisements.

Google Advertising & DoubleClick Cookies

  • Google, as a third-party vendor, uses cookies to serve ads on BabyAgeCalc.com.
  • Google's use of advertising cookies enables it and its partners to serve ads based on your visits to our site and/or other sites on the Internet.
  • Users may opt out of personalized advertising by visiting Google Ads Settings.

Programmatic Advertising (Mediavine / Setupad / Header Bidding)

Our programmatic advertising partners (including Mediavine and Setupad header bidding demand partners) may collect and use aggregated or pseudonymous data regarding your visits to this and other websites to provide relevant advertisements about goods and services of interest to you.

3. How to Manage & Opt Out of Personalized Advertising

You have the right to control how advertising partners use your data for interest-based advertising:

  • United States: Visit the Digital Advertising Alliance (DAA) WebChoices tool at optout.aboutads.info or the Network Advertising Initiative (NAI) at optout.networkadvertising.org.
  • European Union / UK: Visit the European Interactive Digital Advertising Alliance (EDAA) consumer choices page at youronlinechoices.eu.
  • Browser Cookie Settings: You can configure your browser to reject all cookies or notify you when a cookie is set. Please note that disabling cookies may affect your browsing experience on some web properties.

4. Local Storage and Technical Server Logs

Our direct usage of browser storage and server logs is strictly minimal:

  • Theme Preference: We store a single browser key (babyagecalc_theme) in localStorage solely to remember your Dark / Light mode toggle. This is never transmitted to any server.
  • Technical Edge Logs: Our hosting infrastructure temporarily records technical HTTP headers and IP addresses for security mitigation (e.g. DDoS protection) and performance caching. These logs are automatically rotated and deleted.

5. Regional Privacy Rights (CCPA, CPRA & GDPR)

Depending on your location, you may have specific statutory rights under the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA/CPRA), Virginia VCDPA, Colorado CPA, or the European General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).

Notice for California Residents ("Do Not Sell or Share My Personal Information"):

Under the CCPA/CPRA, the use of third-party advertising cookies for cross-context behavioral advertising may be considered a "sale" or "sharing" of personal information. You have the right to opt out of the sale or sharing of your personal information by using the industry opt-out links listed in Section 3, or by enabling Global Privacy Control (GPC) in your web browser.

GDPR / UK Data Rights:

Where required by law, we implement Consent Management Platforms (CMP) adhering to the IAB Europe Transparency and Consent Framework (TCF) to solicit your explicit consent before non-essential advertising cookies are deployed.

6. Children's Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA)

BabyAgeCalc.com is an informational calculation utility created for parents, guardians, pediatricians, and adult caregivers. We do not knowingly collect personal identifiable information from children under the age of 13. Since our calculation tools execute locally without user registration, no child-identifiable information is ever collected or processed by our systems.
